Creating Indio Access was a true labor of love—a journey we undertook entirely on our own, without bringing in any outside consultants or professionals. It was the result of our family’s hard work, dedication, and teamwork. We spent countless hours transforming this house into a welcoming retreat for guests. From choosing the perfect paint colors to assembling furniture piece by piece, we poured our hearts into every detail. We painted walls, selected décor that would make every room feel warm and inviting, and carefully arranged each piece of furniture.
This wasn’t just a renovation—it was a passion project for my wife and me. Our home quickly became a maze of boxes, with furniture parts, paint cans, and décor items taking over every corner. We navigated through a clutter of supplies, turning our living room into a makeshift workshop. Even the kids got used to the sight of tools and paintbrushes scattered around. Despite the chaos, we stayed focused on our goal.

This was the condition or our home while juggling with work and getting the vacation home ready for guests
We tackled this transformation while juggling our full-time jobs, managing our kids’ busy school schedules, and cheering them on at their soccer games. Late nights became the norm as we painted walls after work, assembled furniture while the kids did homework nearby, and made countless trips to the hardware store
between school pickups and practices. It wasn’t always easy, but our commitment never wavered.
One of our proudest achievements is the fully accessible bathroom. Designing it to be ADA-compliant wasn’t just about meeting a standard—it was about creating a space where everyone could feel safe and comfortable. We widened doorways, installed a roll-in shower, and carefully placed secure grab bars for stability.
We learned the intricacies of ADA guidelines, measured everything multiple times to ensure it was right, and even had to rework some parts to get it perfect. There were late nights, moments of frustration, and endless trips to the hardware store. But through it all, we never lost sight of our goal—to create a space where guests with mobility challenges could truly feel at ease.
At the heart of everything we have a simple belief: everyone deserves a place where they can feel at home. Whether you’re a family looking for a fun and cozy getaway, a traveler bringing your beloved pets, or someone who needs a space that’s fully wheelchair accessible, our home is designed with you in mind. We poured our passion into creating a space that welcomes everyone, ensuring that comfort, safety, and joy are always within reach. We hope our home becomes a place where good vibes and positive energy are shared by everyone who stays here, creating unforgettable memories filled with joy, connection, and warmth. We are excited to have host your family at Indio Access.
